There is so much that has happened in the business since, that I think I can put down to our show. It was my first show and I think that could be a course on its own for new businesses because honestly there was so much extra on my radar because of the course. So….. it’s the eve of my show and I’m sat in a car park playing on my phone waiting for my little girl. Everything is complete and I’m going home to have a glass of wine to celebrate getting this far in my first professional theatre. Instead of stressing out and rushing around I’m quite calm. Where is it?

THE NEW HOUSE COUNTRY HOTEL, CARDIFF

The Grade 2 listed New House is a serene and romantic country pile, originally built by a wealthy Welsh industrialist, Thomas Lewis in the 1730s.

We love its extraordinary natural brightness, all year round, whatever the weather. The picture windows perfectly frame the secluded rural idyll and sweeping views out beyond the Cardiff cityscape across the sea to Devon. It quietly takes your breath away.

FROM THE M4 MOTORWAY

Travelling along the M4 motorway, exit at Junction 32.

At the roundabout take the exit to Cardiff, sign post “Cardiff A470”.

Immediately after joining the A470 turn left just before the traffic lights onto Pantmawr Road.

At the end of this road there is a mini roundabout, turn right at the roundabout onto Rhiwbina Hill.

Follow the road for about half a mile, you will pass the Deri Public House on your left hand side. Turn left shortly after this, (there is a large church on the corner), onto Heol Llanishen Fach.

At the end of this road there are traffic lights. Turn left onto the A469 to Caerphilly. Follow the road for about 2 miles you will pass the Thornhill Crematorium on your left and the Manor Park Hotel is just before us.

The New House is on the left hand side on the base of the mountain (just passed Miller & Carter). Drive slowly as the Hotels entrance is concealed


FROM CARDIFF

At the Castle in the City Centre drive along Kingsway following signs to Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly.

After approximately 2 miles, on reaching the flyover across the A48, drive in the right hand lane straight over the flyover.

After descending the flyover, there are traffic lights at The Cross Inn Public House, remain in the right hand lane and follow the road straight on, signposted A469 to Caerphilly.

Continue along this road until you reach the base of the Mountain. The hotel entrance is on the left had side on the foot of Caerphilly Mountain.
